Shree Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj immersive experiential museum

The museum is established at (SHRI CHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ MEMORIAL NATIONAL COMMITTEE Add:- B-14/A Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi, Delhi, India 110016), is a unique modern styled museum with the aim of giving historical experience to the visitors through 13D experience and through hightech gadgets making it diffrent from the normal museum. It’s a blend of traditional ways of curating artifacts and documents which engages the visitors with the cutting edge technology for the presentation of the history of Shivaji Maharaj.

There are presentations and shows of about 10 to 15 minutes each which uses technologies like 5 D Theatre and simulator experience, mappings, automated train ride system with the depiction o whole life cycle of Shivaji Maharaj, holograms, miniatures, lights and sound and realistic thematic settings. This makes each experience multi-dimensional and thus immerse the visitors from all sides, addressing their all senses and making them part of the story.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The main aim and objective of setting up a National Committee was to establish memorials to commemorate Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at different places in India and to promote great ideals of this national leader about Nationalism and welfare state. Committee also aims to carry on research about concepts and philosophy adopted and implemented by this great leader in developing armed forced and administration and reforming the social structure. To achieve these aims and inspire younger generations and bring about awareness of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj signal contribution to this nation, the committee decided to establish this Museum at the society building based on most modern technology upto 13D format The aim of the museum is to acquit young generations in Northern India about the great contribution made to save the country from onslaught of foreign invaders. Committee also plans to project the life philosophy of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj before the people which includes such qualities as Nationalist sprit, secularism, respect for women, preservation of environment and a vision of welfare state where everyone was equal.

Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial National Committee, is in the final stage of developing an immersive multi-dimensional Museum on 13D Format based on Life and times of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj under the consultation of M/s Guardian & Media Entertainment Private Ltd.- one of the internationally known leading firm in museum technology. We have earmarked 27000 square feet built up area for this museum project in our building. Our aim is to make this museum as a tourist attraction as also a place of learning of our historical heritage.

There is a weapon gallery in the Museum where replicas of old Weapon made with due study of originals, displayed and copies of thirteen authentic portraits of Shivaji available in the world.
